My take on gas prices
20 05 2008The gas already reached 1.40$ today, it’s not news. Every news station, blog and forum already brag about it. In the United States, the gas has been breaking the record for the tenth day in a row.
When are we finally change for something more efficient? We know how flawed the combustion engine is and are well aware that we have better solutions aplenty. The gas keeps reaching record-breaking prices at the expense of everyone.
Buying cars that use less gas won’t do shit, they still take gas. Some turn to ethanol. Well, for your information, it takes enough corn to make ethanol to fuel a worldwide food crisis and you’re not done with pollution neither. Why not fund research for more efficient electric cars with all the taxes collected from the oil companies? We would get reliable, fast, emission-free engines to replace the old combustion engine. What are we waiting for?
