An cool view, a cool picture

30 11 2008

This is something I snapped while we were burning leaves this fall. The picture was taken in the middle of a sunny day.

Our smoke will blot out the sun

A slow day, a cute picture

30 11 2008

I didn’t take any good picture this week since I spent most of it carrying my camera without a memory card. Here’s a cute recycled picture of my pets to pretend I did something…

UPDATE: A pug and a boston terrier :)

Good thing we "lost" this ball.

One day, one picture

20 11 2008

As I looked at the beautiful landscape there is behind my house, an idea came to me. When I walk alone, my music blasting through my earphones, I get splendid views no one else dares to appreciate. For example, when I’m walking to school every morning, the sun is glowing through those plants on the roadside and a golden halo draws itself around them.

These pictures, words alone could not describe them. I decided instead to snap a photograph everyday starting from today. Here’s two photos of the sky in my backyard being set ablaze by the sun in its last hours. The view was absolutely astounding and my digital camera was sadly unable to properly capture it.

This is what I get everyday

The sky is on fire

Best halloween ever!

1 11 2008

Hugo kept telling I HAD to blog about this. He was drunk, but he was right, I’m blogging about this halloween!

Thankfully this year it fell on a friday so we had all night free to party and have fun. Fred organized a party at his house (so did Frank, but I didn’t master mitosis yet so I just couldn’t go, sorry). Fortunately enough, Hugo is 18 so we got more beer than we needed (or so we tought) to party hard. And that’s exactly what we did!

I expected something relatively calm and slow and I was wrong. People kept coming in and out, taking a few beers here and there and taking a leak between each of them. I met some old friends, made some new ones like Nick, Nick, Fred and Fred, who all happen to have the same name, among others.

I tried my best to take some pictures but it looks like I’ll have to get Nadia (who was sober) to get better pictures to post. Anyway, here they are, for what they’re worth.

Hugo, my awesome friend

Us, at some point in the night, having fun

Heheheh

Anthony, who turned out to be an awesome guy

And then the girls, whose names I still remember (or at least the face). You were all awesome, even if I could never remember when we met!

Some post-party pics:

You bet! Best night ever, friend

And you rock too!

I’m the POSTAL WIZARD!

I found this post envelope lying around while waiting for Ubuntu to load on my old-ass computer.

OMG RAEP!!!

I took this while playing with my dog this morning. He took revenge later in the day when he shat on my bed. Little fucker.

Stuff I should have tried a long time ago: Pit bikes

17 08 2008

I tried out a pit bike this week with my friend. He went there regularily and told me how awesome it was and -being genetically attracted to everything gas-powered- I had to throw a few bucks at it.

It was fast, it was dirty and it was dangerous. Add bacon and explosions and you’ve got no room left for improvement.

Oh did I mention I fell? I guess I had to mark my skin to remember how much fun it was everytime I look at my scratched elbows.

Random crazy-ass image of the day

I randomly found this while looking for military recon photos. It’s basically a bird’s eye view of the World Trade Center after its collapse. Click for veryfreakinghi-res pic.

Childhood memories

10 07 2008

Out of boredom, I started digging my old school books. There was a lot of old stuff, art and homeworks I used to find hard. There was also all those old class photos I had and scanned. You might recognize some of them too, who knows. If you want higher resolution scans of the school pics, I can provide them.

The two portraits are -supposed- to be autoportraits. Oh well… And my brain automatically associated the pumpkin picture to the picture below.

The promised pics

I’m sorry, I’m a lazy-ass blogger. Here are the pictures of Paco. I’m not responsible if the cuteness makes your face melt, enjoy.

What the f*ck?

6 07 2008

There was this ad on photobucket a few weeks ago and I figured out it was collecting dust on my photobucket account. What the heck is that mother about to do exactly? Eat her kid? I’d prefer not to know.

Help us give our new dog a name!

4 07 2008

Today we received a new visitor in the familly. It’s a 6 months old male pug. Once we manage to make it become friends with Peggy, our Boston terrier, we’d like to give this silly-faced canine a name. You have an idea? Just leave a comment or send me an email if you happen to have my address.
